Some of the most sought-after bourbons in the world, Pappy Van Winkle 23 year, 20 year, 15 year, 12 year, 10 year and rye, were released today from the Gamlin Whiskey Vault at Gamlin Whiskey House, 236 N. Euclid Ave., St. Louis, MO 63108. Each variety is available in a 1.5 oz., or 2.5 oz. pour. Based on previous releases, these will likely sell out by May 27, if not sooner.
“Pappy Van Winkle is one of our most sought-after bourbons,” says Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Derek Gamlin. “One of the cornerstones of our business is to give our guests access to whiskeys like these that they may not be able to find anywhere else.”
Prices range from $25 for a 1.5 oz. pour of the 10 year to $85 for the 23 year. This is the first time Gamlin Whiskey House has offered the Pappy Van Winkle Rye, which is available for $40 for a 1.5 oz. pour.
“Our last batch of Pappy Van Winkle sold out in less than three days, so we’re encouraging guests to come in soon if they want to give these a try,” says Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Lucas Gamlin.
Pappy Van Winkle is a rare, limited edition bourbon that is produced at Kentucky’s Buffalo Trace Distillery, in collaboration with Van Winkle family. It is estimated that less than 10,000 barrels are released each year.
