St. Louis, Oct. 14, 2013 – Gamlin Whiskey House at 236 N. Euclid Ave., St. Louis, MO 63108, will open at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. It will be St. Louis’ first Whiskey House, focused on the pairing of whiskey and traditional home-cooked food with a twist.
“Gamlin Whiskey House will revolutionize the way whiskey is enjoyed. Every item on our menu has been created to pair well with the flavors found in our selection of 270 whiskeys from around the world,” says Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Derek Gamlin. “The menu offers home cooked favorites such as a white cheddar potato gratin, and bourbon brined fried chicken along with new items such a signature kale salad and dry-aged steaks that can be enjoyed anytime.”
Gamlin Restaurant Group Corporate Executive Chef Ivy Magruder worked with the Gamlin brothers Lucan and Derek to create the menu, and whiskey pairings, while Corporate Bar Manager, Dustin Parres led the creation of the diverse cocktail menu and whiskey selections.
“We want to make whiskey approachable for everyone. In addition to traditional whiskey preparations, Gamlin Whiskey House has nearly 40 different cocktails including champisky drinks combining whiskey and champagne, traditional favorites like the Lynchburg Lemonade, and four varieties of bourbon slush,” says Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Lucas Gamlin. In addition to whiskey, Gamlin Whiskey House will offer a full-bar and a selection of fine wines.
The Gamlin Restaurant Group team worked with BlackLine Construction and Design, who designed and built many of the new establishments in the Central West End, to create the space.
“Our goal was to create a welcoming, home-like environment where guests can enjoy a casual dinner, or happy hour,” says Lucas Gamlin. “We want to get to know our guests and become the neighborhood spot where they can stop in for a quick drink, bring family and friends for a great meal, or swing by for a weeknight dinner.”
