Looking for a hard to find whiskey in St. Louis? Look no further than Gamlin Whiskey House, 236 N. Euclid, St. Louis, MO 63108, where owners Lucas and Derek Gamlin have released their Proprietor’s List.
This exclusive listing includes some of the rarest, hardest to find whiskeys in the world including five vintages of Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon, A.H. Hirsch 1974 Bourbon, St. George Single Malt Whiskey and Laphroaig 25 yr. Scotch.
“These are very limited batches of some of the most distinctive whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches available. They are some of Lucas and I’s favorites that we have in our own collections,” says Derek Gamlin, one of the proprietors of Gamlin Restaurant Group. “For example, there are only three bottles of the A.H. Hirsch 1974 Bourbon in North America, and one of them is available here to try by the drink.”
Everything on the Proprietor’s List is available in a one and a half or two and a half ounce pour, prices range from $25 for one and half ounces of Pappy Van Winkle 10 yr. to two and a half ounces of A.H. Hirsch 1974 for $300. “From a guest who has never tasted a whiskey or scotch, to someone with an experienced palate, with more than 250 whiskies available here at Gamlin Whiskey House we have a little bit of something for everyone,” says Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Lucas Gamlin.
“While many of our whiskeys are readily available, some of our Proprietor’s List items are so rare we only have one to two bottles. If a guest has his or her heart set on a certain selection we suggest you give us a call before to make sure it is still in stock. Our whiskey sommeliers can also provide suggestions for comparable items if a favorite is no longer available,” says Derek Gamlin.
