USA Today has named Gamlin Whiskey House one of America’s best bars for whiskey lovers. Fourteen bars from around the country were named to the list.
“Since opening three years ago we have worked to provide whiskey lovers with a great experience at Gamlin Whiskey House. With a selection of nearly 300 whiskeys we have something for everyone, ” says Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Derek Gamlin.
Gamlin Whiskey House and the Julep Cocktail Club in Kansas City, Missouri were the only bars in the Midwest named to the list.
Gamlin Whiskey House at 236 N. Euclid Avenue in St. Louis’ Central West End has one of the deepest whiskey lists in the country. Their special hand-selected whiskey list has single barrel and signature blend options that include brands like Knob Creek, Blanton’s and Angels Envy. With nearly 300 varieties guests can count on help from one of Gamlin’s whiskey sommeliers when it is time to make a decision. The dining menu, which offers a Southern twist on a traditional steakhouse fare, is available from 11 a.m. until the last call nightly. Owners Derek and Lucas Gamlin crafted the menu, which includes Hereford hand-cut steaks, and a selection of seafood and chicken entrees served along sides like a lobster and corn cake, or green beans with whiskey and brown sugar. Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
